Brightening up the sports court in Ter Apel

Since late 2022, we’ve been running a sports programme for unaccompanied minors in Ter Apel – the central reception centre for asylum seekers in the Netherlands. The KLABU clubhouse is a hub for children to play and have a fun, a place to find relief and build confidence.

Lately, together with the young residents, we decided to brighten up the concrete sports court with vibrant KLABU colours and energy. A few cans of paint later… the court is now shining under the sun and used everyday!

Huge thanks to all our young painters on the day, from Syria, Turkey, Gambia and Somalia, united through spirit.
