adidas Foundation joins the KLABU!

We’re thrilled to announce that adidas Foundation has joined the KLABU to fully support a new clubhouse in the Azraq refugee camp in the Jordanian desert, home to 41,000 Syrian refugees, and a gym for the host community in Azraq town.
The Azraq refugee camp was established in 2014 to provide shelter for refugees fleeing the Syrian conflict. Despite its remote desert location and harsh conditions, Azraq has developed into a resilient community, with schools, healthcare facilities and livelihood programmes supporting its residents.
Clubhouse managers Mohammed, Abdullah, Noura and Afra’a
The clubhouse container just arrived last week. Local managers Noura, Mohammed, Abdullah and Afra’a, along with project partners UNHCR the UN Refugee Agency and AFDP Global, directly started preparing for the clubhouse launch.
Abdullah raised the flag, and we kicked things off with badminton, boxing, and football on the nearby pitch. Abdullah mentioned it was his favourite day ever!
