For the third year in a row we're coming together with Filling Pieces to celebrate Keti Koti, the Surinamese day of remembrance and freedom, with a collection that raises funds for a sports and arts project in Commewijne, Suriname.

This year's drop includes a limited edition jersey and cap, available for both adults and kids. The theme is all about community and mentorship.

We invited 14 talents of Surinamese descent, including Jeremain Lens, a former football player, and Sosha Duysker, an actress and reporter, to share how mentorship and community have shaped them, mirroring the spirit of the upcoming KLABU x Filling Pieces clubhouse. Opening later this year in Commewijne district, Suriname, the space will serve as a hub for sports, creativity and opportunity for local youth.

"We want to create more than just a product, we want to create opportunities and positive change. Our partnership with KLABU is not just about selling jerseys, it's about investing in the future of Suriname and its people. "

The clubhouse project will support Community Tennis Suriname, a grassroots tennis club in Commewijne district, which offers local youth the opportunity to experience diverse sports and creativity.

The existing facilities are being renovated and upgraded with a sports library and two tennis courts, including one that’s brand new, to reach more young tennis players and enable them to improve their skills and progress. “For me, it is about when a child is happy, when they say ‘I achieved something’. That’s my highest point,” says Salome Veerman-Shewgobi, tennis coach and founder of CTS.
The official clubhouse opening will take place in October 2025 - thanks to the efforts of everyone who has purchased Filling Pieces x KLABU jerseys in the past years, including the 2025 collection. This project is also further supported by On’s social impact program, Right To Run, as part of their multi-year commitment to supporting KLABU’s mission to build sports clubhouses around the world and On’s overarching mission to ignite the human spirit through movement.

KLABU and Filling Pieces invite everyone to both celebrate Keti Koti and support the Suriname Spirit project, by wearing the ‘United Spirit: Community’ capsule collection. The jerseys and cap, for both adults and kids, are now available online and through our respective stores.

Join us on this journey as we bridge the gap between past and present, tradition and innovation. Together, let's inspire a world where unity and diversity thrive side by side. Last year, our jerseys sold our quick, so make sure to get your hands on yours this year.
