Everyone living in refugee camps should have a place to play.

Hi, we're KLABU 👋🏼 We build community-led sports clubs in refugee camps, creating welcoming places to play.

Millions of people live in refugee camps worldwide, often for years or even decades. Many are children growing up with limited opportunities for sport and play.

Sport doesn’t solve everything. But it brings joy, health, friendship and purpose. It ignites what we call the unbeatable spirit!

That’s why we build KLABU clubhouses: places packed with sports equipment, live matches, music and Wi-Fi, where people can play, connect and feel part of a club. From the very beginning, we work with refugee and host communities to build and lead the clubs themselves. It’s their KLABU.

KLABU means ‘club’ in Swahili. It all started in Kenya’s Kalobeyei Settlement, where the community began calling our first clubhouse their 'klabu'. Today, you can find KLABU clubhouses around the world, from Kenya and Brazil to Jordan and Mauritania.

Our ambition is huge: everyone living in a refugee camp should have a place to play. And you can be part of making that happen. By wearing our shirts, partnering with us or becoming a KLABU member from just €1 a month.

Join the KLABU. Pass on the spirit of sport!
